Re: 50 Percent of Gamers are Women

January 19, 2019 Boonie Sripom
To see the games women played more often: https://quanticfoundry.com/2017/01/19/female-gamers-by-genre/

Statistics found here.

Disclaimer that of course not everyone thinks this way. Not everyone minimizes girls and women in the culture. There are still shared experiences where many women DO go through this challenge where they are not as accepted or feel like they are not allowed to explore “real gaming.” This is just a general response, and I am open to your perceptions and reading recommendations related to gender and video game culture and STEM.

Re: Minecraft Player Spends 4.5 Years Making a World

January 19, 2019 Boonie Sripom
I read comments on viral videos to get a feel for how the general public views groups of people, especially gamers and creatives. I made this video to share my perspective and appreciation for someone who is as committed and focused to do something like this.

Thoughts on Video Games: Taking Games Away & Loss

March 6, 2017 Boonie Sripom
Games can provide wonderful benefits to our lives. Taking them away without alternative options, or dialogues about what it's like can lead to resentment and difficult times. Some words to share perspective of what it could be like to lose something so important. *I understand excessive gaming can be detrimental to relationships and personal lives.

January 30, 2017 Boonie Sripom
Do gamers see life as a game? Does this mean actions don't have consequences? Let's discuss. How and when can we apply skills used to overcome challenges in games to IRL?

My First E3 with Anxiety Gaming & Take This

June 20, 2016 Boonie Sripom
I was invited by Anxiety Gaming to participate with the AFK room at e3. My buddy, Jennifer Walker with Mindful Misfit Therapy, was also there. We watched the new Zelda preview, played with the Last Guardian puppy kitty bird and had a blast being with gamers. Very thankful for the opportunity.
