Counseling Young Children - A Behavioral Approach

May 4, 2016 Boonie Sripom

Developmentally, children sometimes don't have language to process things on an abstract level. Coaching to teach emotional regulation skills, setting boundaries, and role playing can help little ones cope with big changes in their lives.

Gaming & Memories

April 18, 2016 Boonie Sripom

Gaming can offer real and positive memories for us to enjoy together. These memories can be formed with people you've never met "in real life", or family and friends, while accomplishing difficult tasks together as a team.

Creatives as Leaders?

March 7, 2016 Boonie Sripom

An article by Quiet Revolution mentioned some common misperceptions of creatives and introverts in regards to leadership ability, and it made me wonder... Are creatives good leaders?

What do you think?

Language & Stories

February 2, 2016 Boonie Sripom

Some words on my early experiences as a second-language-learner in the States. Acculturation and language barriers may be part of the struggles of children and families. I hope part of my story can help expand on the importance of cultural competence, seeking to understand the unique and individual struggles of those who are learning language, and the family dynamics that may be affected in the process.

Counseling in the Beginning

December 14, 2015 Boonie Sripom

I remember my first experiences with counseling weren't so fun or informative. I'm hoping this video can help alleviate some worries about seeking mental health support. Therapists are people, and some are a good match, some aren't. It's important to understand your rights as a consumer and what the process may be like with each therapist. I'll be making more to elaborate on things I missed.

Update: 12.2.2016 I will continue sharing information to help consumers better understand their options when searching for a good-fit therapist. I, personally, will not be offering services as a therapist to any new clients. I am working on transitioning into coaching services and will share updates.
